You knew this was coming...

RIP Yves Saint Laurent! You are dearly missed! Yves Saint Laurent has made such a huge and important impact on the world of fashion and it is such disappointment to see him go. His legacy will carry on for years and years to come.

The Sartorialist named the top four most important designers of all time being
1.Dior
2.Chanel
3.Yves Saint Laurent
4.Armani (for "creating a revolution in both women's and men's)

and then went on to ask who everyone thinks should be number 5. Personally, I think it is impossible to narrow it down to as it is definitely a matter of opinion. So, I'm going to pull a Sartorialist and ask who YOU think should be number 5. But if you're like me, you won't be able to choose just one.

In my opinion ones that should be added to "the list"

think brilliant designers that will be recognized in the future will definitly include:
Lagarfield
Balenciaga
Marc Jacobs (while he is more modern, he will definitely be an icon and a legend in the future)
Alber Elbaz
Nicholas Ghesquiere
Olivier Theyskens
Dries Van Noten
Miucca Prada
John Galliano
Alexander McQueen

Its such a tough decision! I mean how do you NOT include Lagarfield? But all the others on my list are also brilliant and creative and have made huge names for themselves. And do you include designers or empires? Oh God...I can't decide. I love them all!
