"It's looking VERY McQueen to me.."
yes, yes, yes!! The first thought that ran through my head when I first saw Kenley's wedding dress in last nights Project Runway was "Serously? SERIOUSLY?? Are you TRYING to rip off McQueen?? The judges arent stupid! they called your stuff out ALREADY for looking like dolce & Gabanna AND Victor & Rolf! SERIOUSLY??" And then what is the first think Micheal Kors says about her dress? "It's looking very McQeen to me... VERY McQueen..." To which I shouted at the tv "THANK YOU MICHAEL!!"
Last Nights Epsidode: (spoiler alert) How amazing is Leanne? Her dress was gorgous! it was the only the one that I could imagine a normal everyday bride wearing, while still being modern and stunning. Her bridesmaid dress was great too. Kenley: AT LEAST she did a good job, and it turned out really great, plus her bridesmaid dress was adorable! Korto/Jurell: Korto definitely should have gone! I'm so sad about Jurell!
In other news: I am really excited that the The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art now has an onlin database where you can view all the displays. I was drooling over the stunning creations by designers in their prime such as Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, Jeanne Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, etc.
Chanel:
Dior:
Lanvin:
Yves Saint Laurent:
Balenciaga:
Givenchy:
Madame Vionnet:
Madame Gres:
Vivenne Westwood:
Versace:

I completely agree about the project runway-ish :(
I heard about it
remember in season II when one girl completely ripped off a Marc Jacobs bikini w/ a Missoni pattern?
and seriously in love w/ the Madame Gres dress
I would get married in that
Those dresses are amazing!
And ditto on your comments about project runway....if only it was a good as last season!
Great blog!!
Wow I like Lanvin's design best now if it were in the colors: midnight blue, white, beige, or royal purple or hey! Maybe even dark black then I would wear it... It looks beautiful though.
